Important Mounting Note (Plain Back): This chuck features a "plain back" design, meaning it requires a separate backing plate to mount to your lathe. Because lathe spindles vary greatly, you will need to use a back plate that fits your specific spindle, and then bolt this chuck to the plate. The mounting bolts pass through the back of your plate directly into the edge of the chuck.
